  Not an ultramodern hotel but rather a well maintained hotel with a more genteel feel. The rooms were nicely sized, comfortable bed and kept spotless by the staff. The rooms were well soundproofed so you had no extraneous noise from other rooms. The restaurant was pleasant and the food well above average. The hotel is quite well placed in a slightly quieter part of town next to the parliament buildings but only a 10 minute strol - Staff eager to help us as we arrived early were leaving late and had to leave luggage at hotel. We were upgraded to double rooms with views of Table Top. A cheap taxi ride or walk from all the major city sites. Excellent breakfast included. Rooms spacious with all facilities. Compared with our hotel in Rio on the same trip and for the same price Townhouse was streets ahead. Can't wait to go back to Cape Town and when I do there's only one place I'll be staying - The Townhouse.

  This apartment was perfect. Not too big, and not small, the loft above was wonderful and the view from the window was brilliant - both the city as well as table mountain. Nora, who checked us in, was particularly helpful. The best part was that we used email to book a day trip for 12 hours in the future (cell reception was weak) and they not only ... vad folk säger » responded, but we had a Cape Point/Boulders Beach tour that exceeded expectations. - This apartament is great, well located, even though it is on the town.   We were made really welcome after an early morning flight arrival, given breakfast and a place to shower as our room was not ready. We were given lots of information and advice about the city and staff were really helpful. Our room was very clean, comfortable and there was a balcony for guests use looking out onto Table Mountain. We - The Underberg guesthouse is situated very centrally so it was very convenient and close to some top restaurants. This enabled us to save on our hire car expenses. It truly is a beautiful place and I would definitely stay there again. Also, the actual place is true to the picture on the internet if not even more beautiful in life.

  I spent 10 days here as a solo female traveler and what a wonderful place! I really enjoyed my stay here. James really goes out of his way to make sure you have the best trip possible. He arranged a tour of Robben Island for me and a really cool cooking class in Bo Kaap. But what I was most impressed by was that the place was absolutely spotless.... vad folk säger » The breakfast was also really good. - Very nice room and a comfortable bed and shower. James, the owner, is friendly and helpful (he checked if the cable way to table mountain was open (because of heavy winds) and if a certain museum was open (because of public holiday), dropped me off at the Waterfront, as he had to go there as well, and arranged a taxi/shuttle service.

  A very nice lodge. Staff is warm and welcoming. If you like to activate yourself, they have all the offers/contacts available from the house. Breakfast is good and the atmosphere gives you a feeling of being home. Recommended! - Great hospitality, nice room, clean bathroom, very quiet position.
