A hotel within a country club
The well maintained Residence is located on the third floor of a country club in town, and comprises of 26 rooms and 2 suites, facing either the Padang (cricket lawn) or the city. The swimming pool which is located at the corner of the basement, which feels like a pond within a cave.
Cleanliness did not disappoint.

The hotel is in a great location in the colonial district kitty corner
to Raffles Hotel, walking distance to Singapore Flyer, subway, Hop On
Hop Off Bus, countless shopping centres and restaurants, the river and
boat quay, Marina Bay Sands Hotel and much more. There was a fair bit of
traffic noise as our room overlooked the front road...mainly seemed like
background type noise and didn't disturb our sleep. Somewhat odd
room. The hotel rooms are on the third floor, upper level of the club.

This is a great hotel in a central location right above City Hall MRT Station, with easy walking to the Harbor areas and the Singapore Flyer etc. We travelled from the airport via the MRT for S$2.40 (£1.20 approx.) Concierge were most obliging from local advice and knowledge, luggage security once checked out etc. The room was very comfortable with a work desk area which was most helpful. Would look to stay here again when traveling to Singapore.

As the hotel is small it felt like everything was more personal. The location was central. The staff were very helpful. A lot of time was spent showing everything that was in the hotel rooms. My daughters were able to stay in a ladies only floor.

It is a modern building and quite clean. I like the provision of a fridge which is empty, not a minibar, so you can keep the bottles of water, supplied daily, inside along with anything else you might buy. The service is that of a much more expensive hotel.

Hostel itself: traditional shophouse, but greatly renovated with modern
style and comfort. Electronic access to the front door, rooms and
lockers in the rooms (lockers are really huge, may easily accommodate
suitcase or 75litres backpack in there!). Rooms clean though small. Beds

I stayed here in the Hostel with my Auntie yesterday morning(24th May
2013) until this morning(25th May 2013), I am so happy that they
actually let us check in at 630am considering that check in time was
3pm(or2pm) :) but still the guy in the reception accommodated us &
is very friendly to tour me(coz my auntie is already tired) around the
place. I fell inlove with the view when we reach the Terrace :)
