The location was great, just 5 steps away from Chinatown MRT Station and in the middle of Chinatown district where food stall and hawker so easy to find and cheap also. I stayed at this hotel both in single room and dormitory room. Single room was very clean and also shared bathrooms of this new building were clean and neat. Wireless was very good at all-around the hotel. And location of the hotel was just near the Chinatown MRT station, which makes it very convenient. There was free coffee machine at terrace that you can use all the day. Stuff was also very nice.

My husband and I was very impressed with the lady in housekeeping her name is "MUNI" she was very helpful, courteous and if we had a problem concerning our room she went out of her way to get the problem resolved.Thank you Muni for making our stay at Santa Grand Hotel very pleasant. We will come back on our next visit to Singapore. :) -

Excellent location,just come up from Chinatown MRT station then turn right and turn left and left again afterwards. By the time you booked with them,they will send you direction to get there with several ways which amazed me from the first time as this were going to be my first experience staying in a backpaker hostel. I really liked the location and the decoration in the hall and in the hotel. The staff was very friendly and available. The bed was really comfortable and the room as well as the rest of the hotel's shared spaces were very clean. They didnt have an elevator but there were electric escalators, which seemed like a nice idea! Bottled water included in room. Even thought they did not offer breakfast there were some great local breakfast places close by.

I very much liked the design and set up off the place and especially of the rooms. The pod like dorms were very well maintained and easy to get comfortable in.
The individual pods gave you privacy whilst still allowing for interaction with other dorm members if you so wished.

女子のみの8人部屋に一人で滞在しました。旅慣れてないので不安もありましたが、クチコミどおり綺麗で、スタッフの方が優しく迎えてくれました。場所は駅から徒歩3分くらい。キャリーバッグがあっても大丈夫です。入口は細い階段で2階が受付になっています。英語が出来なくてもスタッフの方が丁寧に説明してくれたので困ることはなかったです。
部屋は冷房付でベッド下にカードキー付のロッカーがそれぞれあり、キャリーバッグも入りました。シャワーとトイレも綺麗で6コずつくらいあり気を使わず入れます。お湯もちゃんと出ます。ドライヤーもあり、バスタオルは2ドルで借りれました。
私はオーストラリア人3人と香港人2人と相部屋になり、日本語を話せる子がいたので英語の出来ない私でも色々話せて楽しかったです。
ベッドはオープンなので足元が丸見えですが、思ったより気にならず、布団をかぶってしまえば平気です。
冷房対策として長袖パジャマがいいと思います。
WiFiは受付でパスワードを教えてもらい問題なく接続できます。
朝食は自分でパンなど焼いて食べるようですが、私は時間がなかったのでジュースだけ飲んでコップを洗って置いておきまし

The location is very convenient. It is a good place for a solo traveler whose on a tight budget like me. Many thrift shops and hawker centers are present around the area.Several tourist attractions, like the Buddhist temple and Hindu Temple, are only a few walks away. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the bed is really comfortable. -
