  The hotel was VERY cheap for a Central Oslo location, had everything you needed, receptionists very friendly and always happy to help (particularly Herman and Anniken), free breakfast kept me full throughout the day and saved me money, bathroom was in the room unlike other hostel-like accommodation I've stayed in, free WiFi was a big positive - B... vad folk säger » reakfast is very good (nothing missing).   Overall we had a good 5-night stay at Gruner. Better than expected. The girl who received us was really nice, and aswered well to all my questions. We had no problems with CHECK IN, I enable my mobile for international calls so after three times dialing the wrong numbers I finally reached them. Easy.   In an expensive city like OSLO this is the best place to stay. The cleanliness of the hostel was by far the best i have seen. Even better than the 5 star hotels. Clean linen and clean facilities. The breakfast is included which is great and offers a stomach full of food which you would pay an excruciating price anywhere else in Oslo. Location is also great a walk from all the major tourist attractions and - Great location, is close to everything (train and bus station too). The room (very clean) was a bit small, however the bathroom was big enough. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good and plentiful. There is a huge hall downstairs where drinking tea and making friends. I recommend this hostel! Ps: very close to the hostel there's a good restaurant, Nilsen Spiseri, and with the card of the hostal, at the dinner, you have a 10% discount.
