  Jag blev uppgraderad till ett *väldigt* stort rum. Sängarna var bekväma, inredningen mycket snygg och frukosten utmärkt. När jag checkade ut frågade receptionisten om jag tyckt om vinet jag tagit från minibaren. När jag ställde mig tvekande till det (det hade inte varit särskilt gott) så drog han av kostnaden för det.   This is n new hotel that was opened in February. In one word it was fantastic. The quality of everything from the decor, to service detail, and food were of the finest quality. The artwork was a collected and hung in almost every corner of the hotel even in the stairwells.   Bra standard på hotellet och på rummet. - Location was totally fantastic for anyone having to catch an early morning train/bus like me - it's right beside the rail and bus station. Included breakfast at the Egon restaurant across from the hotel was an adventure in navigation. Once there food presented had variety for all.

  The Ellingsens Pensjonat is exactly in the oldest tram-line of Oslo, (1875), the "Holtegata" street! Its next to the shopping street "Bogstadveien". The line 19 comes every 10 minutes from 5am 'till late and bring you all the way down to the city center in around 7 minutes passing through the beautiful neighbourhood of Uranienborg. The bathroom a the opposite of the reception could be rebuilt - Located in a nice area close to the embassy district and well serviced with trams. However, I would recommend the using the city cycle hire network for which there is a stand just across the road. You can buy a card from the tourist information to use these and it is a great way to get around Oslo. The pensjonat is very clean and decorated in a modern style with very friendly and helpful staff.

  This is probably my new favorite hotel in the world. So many good things to say, I'll try to keep it short: - The staff at the desk was friendly - and so helpful. Their dinner recommendations were right on when we asked for an affordable dinner - The rooms are decorated nicely and I felt like I was staying in luxury - The shower - wow. I almost fell over the first morning when I came - An absolutely great hotel. A very good value-clean, spacious rooms, great breakfast, located about 1 mile from the city sightseeing center, free coffee and outstanding, friendly and knowledgeable staff. All of their recommendations for restaurants were excellent. I research all my hotels before a stay and this was right on target. I would highly recommend it to anybody. My wife says it made the trip. I agree!
