  My room on 1st floor (6) was airy, clean, bright and nicely-decorated. Good air conditioning, pleasant (if slightly cramped) bathroom and shower. The building is well-maintained and characterful, with a very relaxed feel, and the staff are helpful and speak good English. It's also next door to a couple of good restaurants (Hamadi, the olde - The staff were always extremely helpful with any questions I had. Most spoke French, Arabic, Spanish and English which makes it easy for international travelers. The breakfast in the morning is a bit pricey but it's a great way to start your day if you're not in a rush. The patio where you eat is really nice in the mornings if the weather is good.   We found one of the reception-foyer staff so helpful. He carried our four cases to our 3 separate rooms; helped me park and exit my large car in the small hotel garage;advised us on shopping and places of interest;arranged a surprise taxi tour of Tangier and surrounding area, all without holding his hand out for payment. Tasty dinners. - Mustafa at front desk was incredibly helpful overall, especially re: my luggage which didn't arrive on my flight into Casblanca before we took train to Tangier. He helped suggest where to buy some clothes, helped with phone calls to the airlines and shared other tips to help. The location made our daily walks to the Medina and other highlights easy, and the room was very comfortable at a great price.

  it is such a beautiful place to stay, the lovely owner has taken such care to make every detail beautifully uniqur. i like that the rooms are all individually designed. its a nice quiet place to stay, and in such a great location buried inside the old medina. the roof is a lovely place to go, and if we had more time, i would have definitely taken ... vad folk säger » advantage of the calm above the bustling streets. breakfast was delicious served on the roof in the morning sun. a really lovely place, im looking for - If you want to immerse yourself in the local culture and people then this is for you. Right in the middle of the Medina, fabulous for shopping for ornaments, throws/blankets, cooking tagines, etc. People very friendly, but you have to barter and be prepared to say "no". If you are looking to buy something in particular, ask Rachid at the hotel; he was very helpful and actually took us shopping. Gilles, the owner very welcoming too. Would definitely go back.
