  This is absolutely a great quiet place to stay within the overwhelming Marrakesh centre. If this is within your budget, don't hesitate and look no further! The staff is great, I don't think I've ever met such nice friendly staff. They serve an amazing breakfast with Marrocan crepes.   We stayed at La Mason Arabe for 3 nights. It was such a wonderful experience, at first glance when you are dropped off by the taxi and walk through the narrow ally you would bet apprehensive as to wht lays ahead. The minute the door is opened for you, you will get engilfed into another world that you never expected to exist. Everybody from the doorbell to the General man - We had a lovely stay at La Maison Arabe. While it could never be called cheap, it was well worth the money we spent. The staff are absolutely lovely, the hotel is beautiful. Our room was stunning, perfectly clean, quite large. We were given a complementary half bottle of wine on arrival. We spent the afternoon at the country club which was perfect - it's 10/15 minutes in a shuttle bus. The staff there are amazing, I was told "here, everything is easy", which it was!   The Riad was a wonderful haven from the frenetic alleys of the Marrakech medina. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the main Jemaa el-Fnaa square.   Everything about the riad was wonderful and it was a true retreat from the sensory stimulation on the streets. All of the staff is great, if you speak some French, you will be well set. If not, Hassan is there during the day and helped us a lot with ideas of what to do. Having an oasis of tranquillity within the noisy and busy city was great. It was very good to be personally welcomed by the owner on the first day, and given instructions on how to find the way around the city and what sights to see. Also, the terrace roof is excellent!
