  A truly Japanese experience. We hand a japanese style room, with a picture postcard view of the lake and mount fuji in the distance. Upon arrival, we were served tea in our room. The large room was partitioned with a sliding japanese screen doors, dividing the bedroom and seating areas. We opted for the shared bathroom (there is a toilet in the ro... vad folk säger » om). We really didn't know what to expect. It's a traditional, segregated male and female, bathing area. Just what we all needed after a busy day sigh - spacious room with own terrace and bar makes me more relaxing while looking to the lake in front of me. during afternoon before dinner , walking in lake for about 5 mins walk from hotel is very convenient.and we try the japanese style room! was fantastic! should really try to first time in japan.they have also shuttle bus which u can ask to pick u up in nearest station.thier english is pretty understable so probably it will be good enough to zero percent japanese langauage.lots of near japanese

  Loved the Japanese-style room-very spacious and comfortable and we got a view of Mt. Fuji, also enjoyed the private onsen (with reservation), staff was very friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions - I stayed in 3 different Ryokans in Lake Kawaguchiko in this trip, the onsen in Oike Hotel is the BEST.   Superior view of shy Mt. Fuji. Friendly and helpful staff. Very large room, especially in Japanese standards. Room had a TV (only japanese stations as far as I have seen), free Wifi, fridge. Hotel has a coin laundry. Some restaurants and supermarket nearby. We are very impressive from accommodation, nice view to see Fuji-San, great dinner, onsen available and very nice service.   Staff were so friendly and helpful! they couldn't speak English fluently but they could understand enough for us to get our point across. Had a wonderful Japanese style room with a balcony and lovely view of the Lake when we woke up! brilliant! also has a public onsen or the option to have a bathroom adjoined to your room as well which is great fo... vad folk säger » r westerners! - This place is amazing if you have a room facing Mt. Fuji. The possibility to rent a bicycle to cycle around during the day (allowed until 6pm only) is a huge plus because there are so many sights and sounds to look out for. Another huge plus is the fact that we had an on-site onsen (hot bath). It is very useful after a whole day of trekking around the place.

  This is one of the most pleasant hotel experiences my wife and I have ever had! In particular the wife of the owner paid every attention to our comfort and enjoyment of our stay. Including arriving at 5am to make sure our early morning taxi arrived to take us to the train station. Friendly, efficient, clean, honest and excellent value for money describes them along with fantastic booking support from letsboo - Good location, it was a bit tricky to walk to either train station but taxi was under $10aud. One particular lady staff was very friendly and went out of her way to help, even driving us to the bus stop to get to fuji 5th station. Restaurants are close by and there is a store to pick up lots of supplies call Don quiotai around the back of the steak house.

  Lovely place to stay to experience a traditional Japanese style hotel. Fantastic views of the lake from our room and of Mount Fuji from the roof garden. The lady who looked after us and served our meals in our room was very polite and helpful, even explaining how to wear the cotton kimono provided by the hotel. It was a nice touch to have the sa... vad folk säger » me person looking after us for the whole stay. - Everything is perfect in this hotel. The staff called "maiyumi" was so helpful during our stay, being able to introduce the facilities and foods in simple English. The dinner and breakfast are excellent, location is good and they can arrange free transport between train station and hotel. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting the place.
