  We were very happy to have Francesco meet us and take us to the apartment to settle us in. The apartment was huge, very well equipped and really gave us all the room to move that we needed. The proximity to the boats and gondolas was a delight and really kept the children entertained for long periods every day. The location was superb.   Our family of 4 had the apt near San Samuele. The 2 bdrms were on the 2nd floor and the kit/dining, livingroom were on the 3rd. It was large (for european standards) and modern with new appliances (incl washing machine-no dryer and a dishwasher), quiet a/c in most rooms (w/remote), nice balcony w/table in back, king bed in master and twins in the ... vad folk säger » other(very comfortable), multiple closets. The apt has good lighting (except for the bathroom) which we always find to be a problem in Europe-any coun - The communication from the charming owner was excellent! We had no phone or internet here for four days leading up to our trip, so everything had to be passed via our daughter. This presented no problem. We remained in communication by text right up to the time we arrived in Piazzale Roma ready for the ten minute walk to the flat, and she was exactly where she said she would be. She couldn't do enough to help us: showing us how everything in the flat worked, providing maps and explaining loc
