  Location, The room, the view from the balcony, the services, facilities- all were perfect . The hotel is very elegant and breakfast was extraordinary. The staff was amazing - Very helpful reception staff. Excellent breakfast. Quiet location but only 5 mins walk from centre of town. Roof top pool/terrace - stunning views.

  We were met at the reception by 'Gina' who was courteous and pleasant. We were offered a glass of proseco in the garden, taking in the view of Capri, while we waited for our room.   Besides the absolutely stunning views of the ocean and Positano, the hotel itself was gorgeous, clean, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The one guy who handled the pool area/bar, luggage to you room, etc, was outstanding. Constantly helping us with whatever we needed- drinks in hand, towels for the pool, reserving chairs at the po... vad folk säger » ol, ordering snacks, etc, he genuinely seemed to care about the hotel as if it was his family staying there. We also lucked out and were given a free - The staff at the Marincanto were just too amazing... Right from check-in .. To the lady who got the luggage to the room.. To the pool attendant Gianni ... To the front desk staff at check out...all super super hospitable..!! They went out of their way to make me feel at home..!!! The location is perfect & just a short walk from the beach & shopping & restaurants ... In short.... Total value for money...& I'm definitely staying at the Marincanto next time I'm in Positano..!

  Hotel Continental was beautiful! The lobby and public areas were first class and the room was beautiful as well. The bathroom was very big especially for European standards. They had a nightly turn-down service which was so nice and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The view from our very large balcony was gorgeous and was big enough to inclu... vad folk säger » de a lounge, table and two comfy chairs. We loved sitting out there every morning and night. The location could not be better. We actually walked from - Our room was lovely with the sea view balcony. And it was not just any sea view, it was the fantastic blue Mediterranean with Vesuvius. One could have gazed it 24/7! The staff was incredibly friendly everywhere: reception, restaurant, bar, the cleaning ladies. Always with a big smile and a friendly comment. The hotel itself is lovely with its feeling of the old days but updated for today. Its location could not have been better with a view to dream of and a short way to everywhere in Sorrent

  Absolutely everything!! The hotel is so bright and crisp. The bathroom was spectacular with all the lovely marble and all the amenities; slippers, bathrobes, lots of towels and anything you may have left a home was already there. The location was perfect as we had tickets to the opera, not realizing the hotel was just around the corner. I would recommend t - In 2 weeks traveling around Italy, this is the best, without a doubt. The staff could not be faulted, rooms were modern and very clean, breakfast was the best continental buffet, and for the older part of the city, location was great. For further afield, a short walk to the Metro. Wins on all aspects of a great stay. Make sure you have an address in Italian, because it is a little hard to find 1'st time. ps. Skip Pompeii and go to Herculeum.
