  Fabulous room on two levels with a view over the ocean; great minimalist decor. The lounge was a wonderful place to watch the sun set over the ocean... although drinks buffet a bit pricey (good food though).   Very good location, friendly and very helpful staff. Very nice view of the volcano and the sea. Nice terrace. A good value for money. The mud thermals are just in front. - The staff was extremly helpful and made every efford to satisfy you. The breakfast was good and location convident.

  Blu is situated about 1km from the port of Vulcano. The staff speak English and they were only to happy to send the shuttle bus to collect us and our luggage. The Hotel is actually a large collection of spacious, full equipped apartments, ie cooker, utensils etc. The bathroom was spotless as was the rest of the apartment. The pool area was a very ... vad folk säger » short walk from our apartment, with an infinity pool over looking the sea and the smoking Sulphar volcano in the back ground. Here you will find seati - The pool area was great with a stunning view over the bay. The snack bar served excellent salads and paninis for lunch. The accommodation was spartan but clean and comfortable and well-designed so that you stay cool even at the hottest part of the day. The staff were very helpful and considerate and the shuttle bus down to the town is a great benefit. Ring or e-mail ahead and they will pick you up from the ferry when you arrive.

  The island had been closed for any boats because of weather, so the owner contacted us and proposed to change for the next day. However, it was in November - low season. The rooms with sea view are great (because of the sea view). There is also terrace with swings and chairs. Rooms are big, with small kitchen and old styled furniture. Very cosy. Staff able to book trek to crater for guests, breakfast served at nearby bar with good choice of items. Main reason for visit was the crater trek, but found that there is so much more to do on the island.

Close to beaches that you can reach by foot but note that restaurants and 'night life' (bar, pub...) are all located in Lipari center (easily reachable by bis).   The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was relaxing and delicious. The location was in a quiet area yet two blocks from the main street. We were picked-up and taken back to the dock free of charge. - Otsatnding charming hotel with unique decoration, great breakfast and a wonderful garden park to be used by the hotel guests.
