Andrea the Manager was fabulous and could not have been more helpful.

We loved Andreas. He's the most organized, warm, friendly, patient manager I've met during our 10 day trip to Italy. He would have no problem managing upscale hotels like the Ritz. He responded immediately, from the moment we booked online. He always greets us by name and with a smile. We liked the location because it was away from the hustle/bustle of the city, which is very touristy. We enjoyed interacting with more Italian residents and shop owners on the island. The apartment (vivaldi) was very clean and the staff friendly. They didn't have a booking for our last day so they let us check out at 6pm. The apartment is not only central but in a proper strategic spot, everything was only 5 minutes away. It was warm, comfortable and gave lots of privacy. The fact that was a residence. How often can you stay in a Venetian home? Carpets were a bit rundown and the lighting could be perkier but overall the stay was fab. There is no staff to speak of but the one man who signed us in was very efficient. Like the passcode system to enter the residence any time of day or night. -

Although this was not close to the train station and it is quite expensive to travel on the water taxi to get to the hotel, it was in a great location close to Piazza San Marco and the lovely quiet area and gardens of St. Elena. We were able to walk with our luggage back to the train station on departure once we were able to navigate our way around
