  Brendan was very welcoming and helped us to settle in well. Our overnight stay was very enjoyable with a hearty breakfast to start the day. Our host was most obliging with information.   The staff were incredibly welcoming, and showed us to our room which was spacious and beautifully decorated. Little touches like the Ipod speakers, the old fashioned bath, view over the courtyard and very comfortable and huge beds made this one of our favorite Irish hotels.   I asked for all kinds of help and I was always very satisfied - this hotel has very helpful staff and excellent service delivery. I am 56 years old and this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The health spa and gym are excellent with great staff so do try them. Indeed I dropped my wallet in the gym and it was at the reception waiting for me. ... vad folk säger » - Loved it. Fabulous views and location, extremely clean and comfortable.The rooms are very well decorated and maintained and the leisure centreis well-run and presented.   Eileen and Michael were welcoming from the first moment we walked through the door. Eileen made afternoon tea for us . The breakfasts were superb. The room we had was #4 and was beautifully decorated. Michael gave us a lift to the bus staion when we left and there was a bus stop just acrossw the street, the #202. Would highly recommend this bed and breakfast - Our host Eileen was a real gem - she made sure we had everything we needed and even offered to drop us off in the city (not sure if this is usual or not!). She supplied us with a full buffet breakfast in a beautiful dining room overlooking a garden, a lovely way to start the day. Blackrock is not right in the centre of Cork but the city is easily accessible by car (10 mins drive) or by bus - there is a bus stop right outside the accommodation.

  We stayed there as my friends were celebrating their wedding there onthe saturday. The staff could not have been more courteous and helpful.The food served at the wedding reception was outstanding - 5 star foodand service.   The staff were super efficient and friendly, nothing was too much for them. The hotel itself was super, the room was a standard room but was huge, which was great and a nice change.
