  We choose this place because of the plan to visit Pura Besakih, its one hour drive from here so we can be there very early. Sidemen itself rich with rice field views with mountain background (Mt. Agung). there is a bunch of other hotels and restaurant around for food options. A very nice stay.   Arriving here was very relaxing for us, 'cause the view is great (paddies), and we had a big wooden veranda. No need to leave your room ;-) The room is designed with good taste. Friendly staff, allthough sometimes difficult to communicate with (maybe it's like this everywhere in Indonesia).   What a brilliant place to stay, it was a shame we had to leave after two nights! We stayed in a bungalow, with an amazing view of the garden, ricepaddies and mountain. The owners were very friendly. Komang and her brother did everything to make our stay worthwile, they even send an email before we arrived asking if there was anything they could do... vad folk säger » to help. They can arrange everything you want to do there. We did a ricepaddy walk for 3 hrs with a guide, including crossing the river on our bare f - This place is great. All 4 bungalows have wonderful view on the ricefield and volcano, and a terrase to sit and enjoy landscape. Spacious room, outside bathroom (taking shower with sun and mountains is amazing), very clean. Do not miss to eat also there (diner only), the cuisine is excellent (balinesee upon order). Sidemen is really good for walks - even without guide. Aafter a walk, if you want to go swimming, you can have lunch on the river at Bellevue Ranch - but meals a average. This seems

  Having traveled extensively in Bali over the past 20 years, I am happy to say that Samanvaya is my absolute favorite place to stay. The setting is wondrous, and an afternoon in the infinity pool overlooking the rice terraces will soothe even the most weary. The owners' attention to the needs of guests is unsurpassed.   Wonderful small house. Wonderful view on Agung mountain. Nice home cinema (almost all movies are in English without foreign subtitles). Nice walk done around. Excellent yoga teacher proposed. Our very young son had an accident (which he could have had at home as well) and management arranged things quickly to the nearby hospital.   Cepik Villa is a wonderful place - it is very small and private, with only two bungalows served by an amazing staff. We were lucky to be the only people there, so had the lovely pool area all to ourselves. The area is just beautiful, very relaxing - perfect for long walks, and general relaxation. It was my partne - I was very happy to stay in a hotel owned by a Balinese couple who are very compromised with their community and their culture.   Very new with excellent staff who look after you. They arranged motorscooter hire and provide great food. They also arranged our transport to Ubud driven by the owner's son - best driver in Bali - very new car. In all a wonderful accommadation with a bright future as they are building a pool and more villa's.   We liked the setting of the Villa Pelangi Sidemen. You have your own villa with a terrace overlooking some ricefields and co. The villa is nice and big, and as there are just a few villas, it is very orivate. We had the one directly next to the pool, from which you can also see the ricefields. Especially the waiter who could speak a little German was very nice. Breakfast in their - We enjoyed the freestanding villa/ bungalow with its unique architecture where the terrace seems to be seamlessly integrated into the room. The villas are built on the hilltop. We didn't mind the missing AC at all as the villas are built in a way hot air is permanently flowing out. The place is very new and spotless and run by motivated staff. The restaurant is among the best in Sidemen.
