The location is superb - right on the Ganges with a great roof top terrace to watch Indian life go by in comfort. The General Manager, Mr Tapas Das, is very knowledgeable of Varanasi, Indian heritage and culture. He genuinely made every effort to make sure my stay in Varanasi was first class. This is a lovely guesthouse to escape too in Varanasi. It is being done up at the moment room byn room but being made very beautiful. It is a family run business and like it says on the business card 'You arrive as guest and leave as friend'. The staff are all excellent - especially the managers Vivek and Raoul (sorry if names are spelt wrong).

I liked the fact that the hotel is very clean and fresh, having been newly built in 2012, and there is attention to keeping a high standard of cleanliness. There are also modern conveniences, and the food is good. The owner and all the staff work harmoniously as one family, and there is a good, cheerful feeling, and all are genuinely helpful, including the humble, kind tour guide Bindi, who told us things about the ghats that we were not aware of.
