  From the moment that we drove down through the city streets to City Center Hotel, we knew that the location was just right on. We were near the majority of restaurants, museums & galleries and shopping. Everything was in walking distance. The staff was very helpful in all aspects that a visitor to Iceland would expect.   We were a family group: Grandpa, Grandma, Daughter, grandsons ages 11, 12. We needed affordable lodging near shopping and public transportation. Downtown Reykjavik Apartments (dra) met and exceeded our requirements. The dra is just 2 blocks from one of the main bus stations in Reykjavik. From that point, one can travel anywhere in the City. The main shopping/walking street begins at the bus station and extends a number - We booked the smallest and cheapest available room (the double studio). When we arrived, finding our keys and room was very easy. The room was small but very clean - the bedding smelt very fresh. We also saw a family studio which was bigger and again very clean and pleasant. I asked to upgrade our room as I wanted a bit more space (the prices are very reasonable and I was happy to pay more). However when the owner and Thora heard it was the last leg of our honeymoon, they upgraded us to a 3 bed

  The most spacious apartment we found in Iceland – about 40 square metres. Included comfortable bed, fully-equipped kitchen and breakfast area, plus dining table for 6, an apartment decorated with design flair and artefacts. This would be a great location for working on a creative project. Restaurant meals in Iceland can add up, so the - A beautiful, homey studio apartment with full kitchen, TV, dining table, couch, etc. The central location is perfect, with a coffee shop just steps away, a supermarket around the corner, and the sights of Reykjavik within easy walking distance. The owners are helpful and very interesting to talk to. This was our third trip to Iceland and this was by far the best of our accommodations in Reykjavik. A home away from home, how can you beat that?

  Great location, literally across the street from the old harbor and 5 minute walk from downtown. Super friendly staff are very welcoming. The apartment is basic with a kitchenette that has a fridge and a stovetop with a couple of burners. There are a couple of convenience stores in the next block for basic shopping needs.
