  We stayed at the Grand Serai while my wife recieved treatment in Ioanina university hospital. The staff were very happy to help with local information, directions and comunications, for example sending and recieving faxes when we found we needed additional insurance documents for the hospital.   A hotel in a nice location, opposite Ioannina across Lake Pamvotis, so we had great views of the lake and the city. Courteous staff. We were also positively impressed by the excellent buffet breakfast.   The hotel is situated within the fortress, very close to the town centre and the lake Pamvots. Within a couple of minutes walking distance you could get a boat to the Nisi iland. The sfaff were very friendly and gave us valuable information about how to get to different sightseeing places and facilites. We do recommend - We got the first floor corner with the windows that open up to the outside courtroom...BEST Room ever. At first, I was scared it would be noisy being right next to the reception area, but we didn't hear anything at all. The room itself is cozy and decorated very nicely. The pillows smell amazing and the bed is so comfortable...we didn't want to get out! The brothers who work there are also very nice and helpful..they recommended a guide for our visit to Zagoria and it turned out to be fantastic

The place is peaceful and very close to the old city, literally 5 min walking. The best part is the patio where you can eat, read or just relax in the shadow.   Everything! Family run hotel a little bit out of the main castle area. Can still walk to sites...on a lake. Best room to date. Modern, large & everything works. Anna is a gem. Took care of everything even brought a piece of her Mothers orange cake to our room to satisfy my sweet tooth! Demos helped us navigate our way around and made great suggestions of what to visit. - The hotel is not in the center, but if you have a car is not a problem even walking distance is not a problem because is only 15-20 min from the center. Very quiet place totally new and with very beautiful view o the lake. There is private parking at the front of the hotel. Receptions were very kind and helpful. Excellent deal. Rich breakfast and it is more than enough for travelers.
