Very friendly and always smiling owner, Sofi, who is there to great you. We could choose between two rooms and decided for the spacious one, without a balcony. Other rooms are cosy but all with your own balcony. There is also a common terrace on the roof with the most beautiful view of the caldera. We always had it to ourselves.
It's not so easy to find. Be aware, that the map on the website is not correct. Find the stairs next to Hotel Atlantis and walk down, it's about 10min. From the bus stop. You should write Sofi a mail with your anticipated time of arrival, as she is not always at the hotel.
terrace was very nice and has a magnificent caldera view. the landlady was so helpful and likeable. wifi connection is ok.
our room was at ground floor. there was a wall view instead of sea or caldera view. but the terrace is easy accessible, so it is allowable. the landlady's english is limited. no credit card payment option only cash.

The rooms were a little musty. Nice clean rooms but they need a good airing out.
Accomodation was excellent and view was spectacular. Considering the ridiculous prices charged by most hotels on the caldera, we thought it was exceptional value.
We are senior citizens and found the climb down to the rooms and up to the town very tiring. Perhaps a warning about this in the details would be appropriate.

Loved the location and the views from the room and terraces! The room was basic but had everything you need; air-con, en-suite and a fridge. Though tricky to find, once found you will appreciate the location away from the busy town centre.

Sofi is a very lovely person and made sure our room was cleaned each day and we had fresh towels. The hotel itself is located in a very central part of Fira and very close to the bus station. 2 minute walk to the main street with all the cafes/restaurants/bars/shops. The rooftop terrace had a beautiful view of the sunset as other reviewers have mentioned. Compared with other hotels with a caldera view, this was a good value for money choice.
The room was slightly small and the shower didnt have a curtain or screen to stop the water getting sprayed about. However, this didnt really bother us too much but may be a problem for some. The directions are not very clear on how to find the hotel but we found the best directions were from a previous reviewer who said to take the path in front of the large Atlantis hotel. Follow the path all the way down the stairs and you can't miss it.

We couldn't find it immediately because we didn't know it was right under the church so we had to walk a lot with our bags (stairs up and down)

The small shower which had no splash curtain. Internet was advertised however we could not pick up a signal.
The rooftop terrace has one of the best view on the rim! Get yourself a glass of wine & watch the sunset. Sofi was great. Although there was no breakfast offered when booking she brought us breakfast cake & croissant every morning. Definitely will return.
Could offer more assistance with directions. Take the path in front of the Atlantis Hotel and follow it down to the small church. Sofis Rooms are right there!
