  very pleasent in general and great food would recommend this hotel to anyone. thank you Esplanade - Very friendly staff and a really good breakfast the next day. Slightly unexpected that it was primarily a young male couples hotel , however this was not an issue whatsoever.   The two staff -- husband and wife?-- were both very friendly and helpful. The hotel is small, and very quiet for somewhere so central. The place was warm and spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was low-key and tasty. There was actual tea in a real tea pot -- not an easy thing to find in coffee-centric Germany! I would highly recommend. - Small hotel, just a few rooms, but nice, especially a common area and breakfast place. Room for one person is really small, but bed was comfy and bathroom was very clean. It was nice to get in my room after my trip, 'cause Koln greeted me with windy and cold weather. Breakfast was fine, too. You can ask for eggs prepared as you like. Everything was a bit better than I expected.
