  We stayed at Chateau De La Bourdaisiere two nights and absolutely loved it, a fairy tale experience. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed a corner room with views of the gardens and the moat. The bathroom was recently renovated.   I entered my room and immediately felt like a princess away with my charming prince! The decor is gilded in old worldly elegance. The hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful above and beyond her expected duties. She lent us her bike to make a quick errand into town. The Hotel is a short walk over the bridge to the heart of Tours. - Characterful B & B (not an hotel) in an old large family house with spacious rooms, solid furnishings and décor from a bygone era, overlooking the Loire with a tram service 250m away into Tour city centre. The large bed was the best we slept in out of 9 on our trip. Breakfast pastries and coffee wonderful. Proprietress welcoming and very helpful.
