  Set in its own grounds, very peaceful, excellent parking. Our room was excellent, large and spacious with good facilities. The food was excellent, although the menu was limited and didn't change for the three nights we were there. Tours is a very upmarket and cosmopolitan area with lots of historical sites. A good base for the Loire Valley and... vad folk säger » Chateaus. - Beautiful, very relaxing, great to wind down after a few days on the road. In it's own grounds and away from the city. Food was very good and with a nice wine what more do you need. Spa very good but book in advance, also kitchen very busy so if you want to eay early book also. Staff very nice and very helpful.   For a one person room it was perfect for a short stay.The management was great and dealt with anything I asked for.The room was honestly immaculate it was a non smoking room and the no eating rule seems to have been applied before by previous guests.The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bedsheets crisp and clean.The bathroom had a great showe... vad folk säger » r and immaculate.The cost for the room was a bargain and would definitely stay there again when I return to Tours.Its a beautiful area wonderful restu - Good location. The lovely room (junior suite at the attic) was smartly decorated, spacious and verry clean. Owners were absolutely charming and we felt well looked-after (although they don't speak english). Great breakfast with a real sense of old fashioned hotel. Free wifi with good connection. Unbeatable price.

  Very friendly staff - Not much---room was cheap and poorly appointed; bathroom was lacking soap and shower; bed was hard; stuffyw/ little air. It was funky but staff was accomodating and pleasant.

  I really enjoyed my time in Amboise. To some extent that was due to the quality of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. The position of the hotel was great and allowed us to explore Amboise on foot with great access to restaurants and shops. I also enjoyed the garden at the hotel and the feeling of openess that it gave you. - It was clean, ... vad folk säger » the staff was friendly and helpful. The setting and landscaping was great. They even had a pool for the summer months.

  Ett verkligt underbart ställe!! Vi hade bokat sviten som bara var så vackert och speciellt!! Ägaren var helt otroligt trevlig och hjälpsam. Frukosten var den bästa vi ätit i frankrike. Hembakat och hemlagat med väldigt mycke att välja på. Ekologiskt!! Vi satt vid långbord vilket medförde att vi fick trevliga samtal med övriga gäster. Vi älskar st... vad folk säger » ället och återkommer!! - This is a very special place. Sleeping in a well-appointed cave was unusual, charming, comfortable and (welcome during a heatwave) cool. Beautiful bijou-garden setting, with interior design reflecting artistic flair of Alain, the very obliging and helpful host, who also served a superb breakfast. We would have disliked carrying our bags back up to the car parking space higher up the cliff, had not the Alain volunteered to do it for us. Apparently he is planning to install a lift within the next - This place is amazing - the rooms are luxurious (we especially loved the Victoria room, with its massive bathroom and shower), Alain is the most genial and interesting host. Breakfast is full of homemade treats - and good coffee! This is essentially a family home/estate which has been lovingly restored. The area and the town of Azay-le-Rideau are very beautiful, and convenient for visting wine producers too.
