  A friendly family run manor house with the owner being very helpful but not 'in your face'. A quiet location but convenient for Bayeux and the Normandy region. The accommodation was quaint rustic French cottage type which added to the character of the place and the visit.   Everything! Located in a tiny village, but near important historical sites, the b & b is an old Normandy farmhouse, right out of a French film. The proprietors were the perfect hotel hosts: charming, friendly, talented and accommodating. All of the food was fresh from the local markets. (The first night we arrived late and the owner put together a wonderful supper of omelets, farm fre - We have nothing but wonderful things to describe our stay at Chambres d'Hôtes Le Clos Poulain.   The hotel was fresh, clean and new with efficient friendly staff at a brilliant budget price. The room was spotless with comfy beds which were cleaned and made up despite us only staying 2 nights. The layout of the room was very clever and made excellent use of the space making the room feel bigger despite a double, single bunk and cot being prese... vad folk säger » nt. - It was a great place to stay for what we needed and staff was very friendly and helpful, price was right, our only complaint was that we didn't realize it was out of Bayeux approx. 4Kms and we didn't have a rental car (and there weren't any to rent in town) so we needed to taxi everywhere and that got a bit pricey.

  I can't say enough good things about La Naomath. The setting was peaceful and beautiful, and just a few minutes' drive to the town center of Bayeux. The cottage was so cute, roomy, very clean, and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable, even bringing us breakfast on our first morning as we had arrived after the stores ... vad folk säger » had closed the night before. (We were staying in the self- catering cottage where breakfast was not included). They refused to let us pay for all the - We liked everything. The owners were very nice and friendly. We stayed in the family room which was quite large (one large bedroom and a sitting room). It had one full bath with a shower and another room with a sink which was helpful. The garden was beautiful. It was very peaceful and quiet. It was a perfect location for the D-Day sites (you must have a car). The breakfast was good. Everything was clean and tidy.   Vincent and his family were so warm and welcoming into their several hundred year old "fortress". It was beautiful. We are American but live in Italy and travel a lot for work and leisure. This was one of our favorite places to stay. From the kindness of the owner, to the incredible food and decorating, to the beautiful views, (I could go on).... ... vad folk säger » If we come back to this region, we will stay here again. Thank you Vincent!!! - Very "country French" -- newly remodeled, private bath, and charming, comfortable bedroom.   We stayed here for one night on our way back to Calais from the Vendee. It is in an ideal location, not far from Bayeux and the Normandy Beaches. On arrival we were given a warm welcome by Giles and Michel, they showed us around their beautiful garden and conservatory and then up to our room. We were given a warmhearted welcome from the very beginning of our visit - the same feeling stayed throughout the whole visit. The hosts, Gilles and Michael (and beautiful dog Galopin) are just amazing personalities. The room we stayed was spacious and tidy, and we did have our own bathroom with shower and tub.
