  Friendly welcome, reception happy to put cheeses we had bought into their fridge. Lovely romantic room and aperitifs in front of a roaring log fire. Delicious gourmet food and a lovely breakfast. All these experiences are set in a place that is quirky and exudes history. A lovely room and a restaurant to equal the best in fine dining I have ever had, anywhere in the world. We liked it so much that we hung around for lunch before leaving! And Mortagne is a fascinating ancient little town to explore.
