The welcome from Alex is second to none. He not only recommended restaurants but made the reservations for us, gave us advice on what to see (down to which paintings in the art gallery!) and gave a warm, colourful and unforgettable dimension to our stay in Montpellier. Also the location is great, right in the heart of the old city. If you are after an experience that is more personal than staying at a hotel, I would recommend Chambre d'Autres.

Caroline and Ronaldo are a lovely, warm couple who made us feel very welcome. The room, with its 15ft high ceiling, was very clean and spacious and our outlook over the pool and garden was pretty. This is a very peaceful and romantic guesthouse, very suitable for couples. The rooms are large and overlook a garden. The decor is basic but clean and comfortable. The morning birdsong is wonderful.

If you are wanting to experience the buzz of being right in the centre of an old French City, look no further than Alex's 2nd floor apartment. From the start when Alex led us down the tiny passage to the old wooden door that opened into the hallway of the apartment block and led us up the 42 steps to the charming apartment with its mezzanine floor

Lovely apartment, plenty of space and well furnished & equipped. Comfortable beds.
Having a separate toilet and bathroom was great.
Excellent location for city centre and access to trams. Place de la Comedie with access to old town is very close. Also, close to Antigone area.
Staff were very polite and helpful. They spoke good english.
