  The couple running the hotel were helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were fine. I was glad of the hotel being convenient for the station, and relieved to find my room at the back was so quiet.   The location of the hotel is ideal right in the old town with lots of lovely restaurants and cafe bars nearby. The staff were so friendly and really helpful. The hotel was lovely and brightly coloured as were the rooms, very clean and good facilities.   The lady owner could not have been more welcoming and friendly. I had car problems and she immediately put me in touch with the most relevant garage in Angouleme. The view over the country from the room was fantastic, yet the accommodation is only a few hundred yards (all uphill and up steps) from the centre of the Old Town, where most of the rest... vad folk säger » aurants and places of interest are situated. - Laferrière has loads of character, with it's limestone walls and tasteful interior. I was made to feel very welcome and at home, everyone was extremely helpful. It really catches the sun and I enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. Great location for the centre of town, just a short walk in a straight line!
