  Surroundings were just amazing and the saloon bar was so authentic you really felt like you had stepped back in time. Great value for the experience. Very comfortable. Great cat. - Beautiful location and a very nicely renovated castle. Friendly people. nice breakfast while sitting on the terrace looking over the garden.

  Claire took great care to ensure our 90 year old dad was comfortable. She was very patient with me as I negotiated my way around letsbookhotel.com. I had entered incorrect dates of our stay and she responded to each of my emails promptly to help me sort it out. Dinner at the hotel was like a michelin star restaurant.   Very nice and clean facility in an idyllic location in an old mill setting. The views of the bubbling brook from the rooms are mesmerizing. The restaurant is a bit pricey, especially f for a very average breakfast, but the dinner was excellent.   I liked the free on-site parking, the owner offering to carry cases, the unusual old building, the very attractive dining room with pleasant food if you did not feel like exploring the town that night, the lovely clean brasserie near by for coffee with a croissant bought from the baker's next door, the closeness of the hotel to the town, and espec... vad folk säger » ially the brilliantly lit bedroom which actually made reading easy, rather than the dim, glow worm like semi-darkness of most hotel rooms. Also liked - Stopped over here on a drive from Bordeaux to Champagne. We were two couples staying in a four person room on the top floor of the main building (two doubles). Room was large enough for all of us, clean and comfortable. Wifi worked well in our room. We ate a nice meal at the hotel's restaurant that night. Staff were all friendly and spoke enough English for us not to have to resort to our embarrassing small amount of French. In summary, no complaints!

  Great hotel next to a babbling river. Very relaxing. The rooms are small but clean and have decent bed linen. The food is okay, no choice of menu but the setting is so lovely we didn't mind the lack of choice. Lots to do, the owner will take you fly fishing and there is also horse riding. I would recommend this hotel to those who like a rustic break, beautiful views and welcoming staff. - Location was super- a delightful change of pace from our week in Paris prior to arrival in Pontaubert. Our host was exceptional - he answered our questions and made wonderful recommendations for visits in the area. Dinners at the hotel were delicious, the ambiance of the dining area was warm and inviting- a truly delightful experience on all accounts!
