Friendly helpful owners. The room was basic but clean and comfortable and good value. Room had a nice outlook onto the tree lined street. Hotel is certainly central.Easy walk to the reccomended restaurants Le Bistro and La Rotonde near the canal and just round corner from the shopping area.Easy access by car to old City. We found parking in front of the hotel which is free after hours but in the morning or afternoon one must pay or else face a fine. An excellent base from which to explore .
alla recensioner » Nice ancient building, 15-20 mins pleasant walk to the fortified citadel. Very nice coloured and well decorated rooms (our quadruple was very spacious and comfortable). Breakfast buffet was good, even if nothing spectacular. Family management extremely kind and helpful. Parking in front of the hotel is free from 18 to 9, and it is easy to find a place close to the entrance. Not expensive during the day. i arrived late due to train delay and was locked out as was not able to receive my emails on door code. when a resident let me in they sorted me out quickly and without any hassle. it is basic and very comfortable and i recommend it for a short stay. The manageress and manager are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean, towels changed daily, good simple facilities in the bedroom. A quiet location but handy to key areas of the town. An excellent restaurant beside the hotel. The staff was very accomodating, responding to my emails about our changing schedule and storing luggage for us safely. The room was clean and comfortable. There are no signposts to the hotel entering Carcassonne, although it's not so difficult to find it. No lift to the rooms. The bright colours are a little too much for my taste, but that's just a quibble!. Room had air conditioning but it didn't seem to do anything despite me playing with the options. Nothing really. En suite was a bit small. Knees almost against door when on the loo!!. It would be helpful if breakfast could be served even a half hour earlier to allow guests enough time to get to the airport when several flights leave for the UK and Ireland mid- morning. Air Conditioning did not work which meant the window had to be opened during the night. This meant the city traffic noise was quite loud in the morning. Basic rooms, no tea making facilities. Breakfast didn't start until 8am and I had to leave at 7.30am for a flight. Couldn't control A/C - It got hot in the middle of the night. some minor road noise. Damp and musty smell. A lot of road noise until 4am then quiet until it started up again at 5am. There is no lift so two arthritic pensioners struggled a bit getting to second floor. Expensive breakfast. comfortness would be better... difficulty parking during the day; quite noisy. Small and limited facilities. Its a basic hotel. bit too basic, traffic noise most of the night.
