Hostess was friendly and helpfull and room was in original house not one of the annexes.For a B&B very good

Bit hard to find at first (street number layout crazy) but once located very convenient.

Sylvie is a fabulous hostess; she is very friendly,informative, helpful, and professional. Au Charme Rabelaisien is a 300 year old house with a lovely back courtyard and swimming pool. It is very charming and fully modernized. Our guest room was in the back courtyard and was large, updated, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The Wi-Fi and television worked perfectly. Breakfast (included) was served in the house and was great. Location is perfect and we could walk within 5 minutes to nearby restaurants and shops. There is easy parking behind the house. We would definitely stay here if/when we are in Amboise again

Very nice accommodation and friendly environment

hard to locate at night time since there is no easy-to-spot road sign. Most of the people around are tourists and locals did not know this place.

Very good location, close to all Amboise attractions. Excellent design of the place. If you want to feel in French bohemia, this is the place!!!

Amboise is a lovely small town on the banks of the Loire. Au Charme Rabelaisien is a super place to stay. We were in a room at the end of the garden, overlooking what felt like a private swimming pool. The room was very well equipped and decorated. Free, secure, private parking is also such a bonus. Our hostess came to where we had left the car and took us to the parking so we could find it. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and very fresh.

Nothing. By far the most expensive of the hotels we stayed in on our trip but definitely worth it!

Madame Sylvie was a wonderful hostess. Very friendly & full of advice. A charming old building - the accommodation was first rate. Our bedroom was wonderful - check out the shower! Swimming Pool was great after a hot day's Chateau exploring. Very highly recommended.

Mme Sylvie was a wonderful hostess. She was charming, friendly and very helpful. Our room was excellent - very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Definitely a place to return to.

An outstanding choice for a bed and breakfast location in Amboise in the Loire Valley. Excellent location close to the major walking street shops and excellent restaurants as well as the chateau and Clos de Luce -the Da Vinci house,Tastefully furnished and beautifully decorated comfortable accomodations and a magnificent walled garden and swimming pool. Excellent breakfast and a wonderful ambience throughout. However the most oustanding aspect of Au Charme Rabelaisien was our hostess Sylvie who was gracious,extemely welcoming and helpful with all sorts of tourist information from excellent restaurants to easier routes to various chateauxs to where to buy that special souvenir. She made our stay in Amboise most memorable and we always felt like close friends on a visit rather hotel guests.If we ever visit the Loire Valley again we will definitely stay with Sylvie at Au Charme Rabelsian

This was a delightful B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was enormous. The bathroom was bigger than some of the hotel rooms we have stayed in, with a large bath in which to luxuriate. We also enjoyed the town. Very relaxed and with many dining options to choose from. An ideal place as a base to explore the Loire Valley and it's many Chateaus. Our host Sylvie was a delight. Extremely helpful and obliging , with a wonderful bubbly personality. Would rate this as the best B & B we have stayed in in our month long travels through Italy and France. Would strongly recomend this as a place to stay if visting the Loire Valley.

Excellent hostess, more than willing to help with recommendations for restaurants, etc. Very secure covered parking. Excellent breakfast, quiet location in town close to multiple restaurants. Pool available after day reviewing local chateaux. Room was big and comfortable, bathroom had soaker tub and great shower. Would not hesitate to recommend.

My husband and I are bikers but we were welcomed so warmly and they insisted on our bikes being put in their garage. We were late arriving (although they had been notified of that) but we were not made to feel a nuisance in fact she immediately booked us a table at a restaurant to make sure we would eat. Our room was at the bottom of the garden which was nicer than many top class hotel rooms and so peaceful and quiet. breakfast was delicious.

everything, Sylvie was extremely friendly and helpful and the accommodation was excellent. It is a lovely location with a beautiful and tranquil garden in the center of the town within walking distance to everything.I would recommend the apartment to everyone.

The important things were good or very good. Great location in central Amboise. Secure car-parking (a must). Charming staff. Nice clean en- suite room. Very nice breakfast. Reasonable value (Amboise is quite expensive). Roger, uk - Apr 2013.

Only small things to dislike. Internet poor (though hotel tried hard to fix). Tv rather small. Hundreds of satellite channels (mostly Arabic or Slavic) but no bbc. Breakfast 0830 to 1000; an 0800 start would be better.

The room was brand new and very well furnished. Sylvie was super accommodating and friendly; we really felt well taken care of. The breakfast was yummy with fresh fruit, pastries, meats and cheese, plus more. It was well located to the heart of the village. We loved it.
