The staff was really kind and helpful every time I needed it. The room and the bathroom were clean and spacious. It was April but I did not feel like I needed the air conditioned even with the windows completely closed. The room has a view of the Nile (the hotel is in front of the feluccas stop point). The pizza I had was really tasty and I could use the internet at the lobby. The front desk provides you with all the information you ask them and there is no hassle or attempt to sell you any ser.
alla recensioner » Location and staff make this a great hotel. The rooms are very clean and nice as well, flat screen tv, but it's the view over the Nile that makes it a dream. The staff really went out of their way to make our stay such a pleasant experience. They arranged trips for us to Abu Simble and an overnight trip on a Felucca. We felt very safe and welcome and the hotel never let us down, on the contrary. The rooms were a decent size - with balcony; toiletries provided - always nice; the best part however was the staff - cudo's to the manager - all the staff were fantastic and particular compliments to Rhiam (spelling?) who was so gracious when we checked in and Mohammed who never failed to make us laugh or smile. Thanks for the lovely surprise as well. Perfect location! Wonderful staff. Nile view rooms (2nd floor) have a beautiful view (and a balcony). Advice - the money changing shop on the right as you exit the hotel is run by an incredibly honest and decent old man. As well as giving me a very competitive rate he also pointed out that I had overpaid £20 in error!. The cleanliness of the suite, the value for money and I cannot over-emphasise the kindness, consideration and 'can do' attitude of the staff. This is no accident - the manager Hanan, is simply brilliant at her job and obviously expects the same from her staff. Everything was fantastic in this hotel. The location is good right over the Nile river. The view of the room was amazing. The room is well equipped and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was really a excellent experience. The hotel is well located, next to the Bazar and there is a KFC opposite if you need. The room is clean and big and the staff will help book tickets to Abu Simbel and Philae temple, The breakfast box is excellent. Everything is nice, the room is clean, the location is good, has a post office near by, and shops around. The room is equipped with a LCD TV with lots of channels. It's on Cornish and the view is good. Very caring & helpful staff. Always available for recommendations & anything to make my stay enjoyable. Since all the rooms face the same street it is impossible to avoid the noise from the cars.But if you are tired from visiting the temples like I was you can easily forget it and sleep well. The breakfast included is simple, as is the hotel. But it is an Egyptian hotel and not some occidental franchise - meaning that you interact all the time with the culture of the country you've decide to visit. If you don't understand Arabic there is not much you understand on the tv in your room :o). Its such a shame that due to the political situation these hotels are so quite right now. I wish this hotel the very best. The only negative I can come up with is the lack of bedside lamps - not exactly the end of the world!. The electricity stops during afternoon, we were told it was a black out. But other stores nearby has electricity. It's very very hot in Aswan if you don't have air conditioner in June. The wifi didn't work :(. The bathtub was a bit narrow for standing while showering compromising balance. The liquid shower gel is not my thing and was inconveniently placed. There were not many channels on the TV and all suffered from bad reception. Al Jazeera was continuously stuck. An elevator would also be nice though there are not too many floors. But after a whole day walking climbing stairs is not very welcome. There is no rooftop but the views from most rooms and the dining room are nice. Tune the tv to Al Jezira English, bbc World or abc World. Otherwise difficult to fault. None... No elevator? It didn't bother us, but if you're in a wheelchair, that might be an issue. Bit noisy as on Nile side. None. Some of the front of house staff spoke little English and had to rely on one girl to communicate. Does not accept credit card for payment. The A/C was off at the breakfast room. No lift :). The room seems to be old.
