  The hotel is beautiful - the rooms are very very nice - very attractively furnished with old furniture and lots of artwork everywhere. The staff are the best I have ever encountered - spoke good English and were incredibly helpful, efficient and friendly. The breakfasts are served in the room at the time you ask.   Cleaners never minded cleaning your room very late in the day; and the reception staff were helpful from start to finish. Nice rooms, no complaints at all really. - Location in Ipanema close to the beach, the shopping and the lagoa was perfect! Small room but perfect for one solo traveller.
