  The Ariane is a beautiful hotel we could not fault anything about our stay, in fact we have booked to return next year. We stayed in a family room which was very spacious. We traveled with our teenage daughters who are studying WW1 at school and they feel the trip has helped them with their studies. If you do not eat in the restaurant within the Arian - The greeting we received when we arrived was very welcoming - this 'set the scene' for our experience of the hotel. We had hired a car for our exploration of the area, so were very glad that there was plenty of parking space. The room was spacious and very clean. It was a very easy walk to Menin Gate and to the town itself! We have been traveling around Europe for a month & stayed in many hotels - the Hotel Ariane was one of the best.   An elegant, spacious and friendly hotel a matter of a few minutes' walk from the main sights of Ieper - the Menin Gate, Cloth Hall, for example. Extremely interested and helpful staff, smiling and obliging in the "nothing's too much trouble" sense. Altogether it was a wonderf - The staff were exceptionally knowledgable, pleased to help with grace and delight. The hotel is an obviously interesting old building which had been wonderfully kept, clean comfortable and cool in the heat, the high ceilings were a boon. Breakfast was delicious constant fresh supplies were brought in for me the best- great coffee! We had rooms facing the road and were surprised that there was no noise issue to disturb us. Great value.

  Perfect is how I would describe the Yoake .My husband and I spend our holidays travelling around Europe on our motorbike staying at hotels and b and b,s and I can honestly say it is the only place so far that we have given 10 out of 10.   This hotel and the proprietor are both absolutely charming. Carinne made us feel as though we were being welcomed into her own home. On arrival she gave us coffee and biscuits and a very helpful explanation of what Ieper had to offer. Our room was private, very quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast which Carinne provides is extensive and includes homebaked bread and pate and a selection of cooke - I can not think of anything we didn't like. Carine , one of the owners is simply a very lovely person. She made us tea as soon as we arrived and spent ages chatting with her. Her chocolate cakes were delicious. Then she showed us to our room - the 'wild' one. I had seen the photos of it on the web site but they didn't do it justice. As soon as Carine left, having shown us how to work everything, we were straight into the bath!!. The snacks and the free mini bar were very welcome. The breakfast

It had all of the items necessary for an extended stay - cooking pans, dishes, towels, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed the home after a day of scouting the area and visiting the sites. - A lovely apartment that felt like home away from home.   This was my first time in a B&B on the continent, although a seasoned traveller, I usually find myself slave to the Accor hotel chain. On arrival, we were welcomed at the door by Peter who has to be the friendliest hotelier ever! We were shown to our rooms and breakfast was arranged completely around us. The rooms are quite spacious a - Handy for the main square for dining, the Cloth Hall in the centre of Ypres and an easy walk to the Menin Gate. A warm welcome, nice cooked breakfast at a time to suit the guest not the Hotel. The picture in the dining room of two stone masons working on the lion that sits on top of the Menin Gate took on a whole new significance when Peter told us that the stone masons were his great and great great grandfathers. No reason not to stay here again and probably will

  One of the best small hotels we have stayed in. The owners are exceptional in the way they make guests welcome and the standard of service they provide throughout your stay.   I have ticked City trip as there is no accurate choice. This is for the dedicated wwi enthusiast and the "In Flanders" museum & Mennin gate are within a two - five minute walk from the Alliance. For us vet's it is a must and quite moving. I was impressed by the good nature and warmth from the locals and the respect from the young. A lovely tow... vad folk säger » n & lovely people. The staff at our hotel were very friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to provide a meal on our late arrival. If you wan - Central location in Ypres. Clean, simple, comfortable, functional rooms with excellent shower. Breakfast was continental, boil your own eggs, cereals, juice, cold meats and cheese with fresh bread and each table had its own bowl of fresh bread rolls and pastries. Very nice and as substantial as you want it to be. There was a bar area but so close to the town centre there are many restaurants and bars to spend time in so I never saw anyone using it although it was possible. Also no evening meals
