  Tyst och lugnt.Bekväma sängar. - The hotel was recently renovated in a very attractive way. The rooms are unusually large. Most look onto a large interior courtyard and are very quiet. The breakfast room is very attractive and the breakfast is very good, with wonderful breads, coffee, jogurt, jams, etc. but no hot dishes . The location is excellent; ten minutes walk to the Grand Place, and many other tourist locations, as well as to some very good shopping streets. Many good - 1.Hotel is after reconstruction - rooms are new and clean. 2.Location - 10 min walk to Grand Place. 3.Close to Brussels Centraal, we paid for taxi from the hotel to BC 6 euro or you can walk there around 20 min through the city centre. 4.Price. 5.A lot of cafes and restaurants close to the hotel - on Place Saint-Gery and Place Sainte-Catherine. 6.A funny "pissing dog" sculpture just round the corner:) 7.Parking.

  When we looked at the write up online we were concerned that The Meininger may be a bit too basic and aimed at the young backpacker. Whilst 'yes' a large part of the people staying were young and backpackers, we fittied in very well (We are just in our 50s !). Hot night in Brussells 2 - Everything about this hotel, from the moment you step in the front entrance is clean and tidy. It is minimal but everything you need for a comfortable stay. I stayed there with my partner and another couple and it was perfect considering we really only slept there. We stayed in the room with two single beds and a bunk and there was plenty of room.
