  I can't say enough good things about the Alto and staff . The room was clean ,comfortable and had little extras that made you feel at home.I had a mini box of chocolates and a welcome note waiting in my room as well as my luggage that they had kept secure for me for a week I was traveling to Caines . Walking distance to Southern Cross and Etihad... vad folk säger » ! Just Awesome Hotel - The beds were probably the most comfortable we had slept in over the 5 weeks we were away. The staff were very friendly and the manager went out of his way to help solve an issue I had with my myki card. He was also a valuable source of information on what to do in Melbourne

  The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We loved the River View room, and were delighted with the views. The spectacular fireworks display on the Yarra river was a wonderful bonus.   The hotel is on the upper reaches of the CBD close to the Victoria Market and opposite to the Flagstaff Gardens. Ten minutes walking will get you into central Swanson Street. The friendly greeting from the receptionist when you enter the hotel sets the tone of the place. Registration is quick and easy and you get directed to your room. First impressions of the room were a well presented and spotlessl - The staff were superb. Everyone, from the people on the desk to the cleaning staff to the people in the restaurant at breakfast time were polite, helpful, friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome without being 'in your face'. The breakfasts were very impressive with a great choice of fresh, delicious food and coffee made to order. The fresh fruit platter was an unexpected, very appreciated highlight on arrival.   I feel like I'm staying in a living museum when I'm at The Hotel Windsor. That's what I love most, as an anthropologist. I love the spaciousness of the rooms. I love the pillow menu - what a treat! I liked the fact that they had a system in place that allowed guests to use the same towels if they wanted to in order to save water which is great. What I would have also liked to see is a recycle bin in our room so we can put our aluminium, paper, cardboard, plastic and glass.

  The staff were fantastic, they couldn't do enough for you. The room was spacious and very well appointed. They location would be great if you had plans at one of the sporting venues and although you were 2 blocks from the North/South tram routes, there were East/West trams running one street either side of the hotel. Very accommodating and sympathetic to our needs for our 6 month old babies. Well furnished rooms/suites for amazing value. Best location - just around the corner from flinders lane where lots of good restaurants / cafes located. One of the best experiences I've had at a hotel - particularly for the price we paid!

  This was our second stay at the Grand Hotel Melbourne and we were warmly greeted upon arrival. The staff are always very friendly and eager to help were possible. All the rooms are very spacious and clean with the most amazingly comfortable beds.   Arriving on a delayed flight into Melbourne via Sydney from Hawaii, we expected all sorts of problems upon arriving very late at the Somerset. However, I must complement their staff, in particular Paul Dale, who were very helpful and understanding. Bob Langridge - i like there are lots of electric and home appliances, like microwave oven, washing machine, stove, etc. There are shops and supermarkets nearby thus cooking in the room is very convenient esp. my mother is a vegetarian. It also near the melbourne central, queen victoria markets. And many tourist points can be reach on foot. (If you don't mind to walk)

  I had made an error with my booking and due to this we were put in one of their other apartments on Malthouse Lane. It was very noisy and when I complained the staff didn't hesitate but move us to another apartment in the main building. Great service and we ended up staying there all weekend. The Adina is fabulously located close to everything in inner city Melbourne - you are only 5 minutes away from gre - Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, they lent us tram passes and umbrellas. Beds really comfortable, bedrooms overlooking Flinders Street a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper but the view made it all worthwhile! Our friends bedroom had no view and they said it was very quiet. Great location for MCG and anything on the free tram. IGA express next door was very handy. Thank you for making our stay in Melbourne so memorable and special!
