Stayed there for my birthday and was amazed as soon as I walked in the door! The level of customer service was top notch! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great old converted private home that once belonged to a prominent New York suffragette. Lots of history, wonderful old building with many period details but updated with modern conveniences. Across the street from Washington Park, designed by Olmstead (who did NY's Central Park).Room 4B is nothing short of spectacular -- which is the same adjective I would use to describe the friendly and cheerul, amazingly helpful staff.

It was my daughter and son's first trip to NYC and coming by train it was a very convenient location. The staff was extremely courteous, helpful and locked our luggage after check-out so we could sightsee. The Marriot Marquis have a very friendly staff. Everyone was always helpful and all smiles. The hotel was exceptionally clean. The Christmas spirit with all the CHristmas trees in lobby was truley magical. One is able to see all the efforts that were made to give a guest a magicial holiday spirit the moment you walk through the doors. The restaurants, gift shops and loungres are very convenient as well. Over our opinion of hotel is a excellent plus plus.

We upgraded to the Sheraton Club on the 21st floor which was nice, it had a great view of the City and Hudson River. It is not a luxury hotel but is very comfortable and affordable.

The "all-suite" rooms were large, comfortable, and well equipped. The breakfast and dinner buffets (included in the room rate) were surprisingly imaginative and tasty. This hotel is the most comfortable and best value for the money on Long Island. -
Convenient because wedding was at Fox Hollow.
