The hotel is in a great location. It must be amazing to have a room with a view of the park. Sadly, I wasn't that lucky.
The room itself was spacious. The bed was comfortable, but the matress a little worn. I kept sliding to the edge of the bed. The plaid on the bed had holes in it.

Great small boutique hotel. Privately owned & operated. Both owners there. Service was superb. Facilities were spotless, really nice & quiet. Breakfast included in their wonderful restaurant. Hotel 140 is located only a 5-minute walk from the rear exit of Back Bay Railroad Station. Upon arrival I had taken the train from Springfield, MA. Location was great! Its a very historical building and its been updated. On the first night, there was banging like someone was using a hammer at 9pm and I called the front desk and it stopped! Also, the door man was such a delight...helped get our car, load the car, offered help with directions, even gave our son some small toys! -

Hotel staff were outstanding, friendly, helpful. We stayed for a specialoccasion and the concierge gave us vip tickets for an attraction wewanted to visit.
