  A friendly welcome and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and clean with a very nice bathroom featuring an excellent rainforest shower. The village is delightful and set amongst lovely countryside. It was a fine morning and we had breakfast outside on the sunny patio surrounded by flowers.   Being a lone female traveller I am always careful about where I stay. I picked The White Horse because of the good reviews it had and I wasn't disappointed. Lovely place, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast and what a lovely surprise to see Molton Brown products in the bathroom - something you would normally get in a 5 star hotel. Lovely welcoming and accommodating staff; a room that was quiet, comfortable, spacious and with a fabulous shower (not to mention Molton Brown toiletries); a quaint little restaurant (make sure you book for dinner); good location with easy parking off road.   The staff were excellent over my 2 day stay. The food was delicious and good value which isn't always the case for hotels. The rooms were very modern and very clean with walk in showers. The location is spot on for the town centre as its 10 minutes walk max and 5 minutes to the football stadium and train station.
