Located just a mile outside of Manchester City Centre and just a 3-minute walk from Oxford Road, which is home to many live music venues. The Salutation Hotel and Pub has a traditional bar and free Wi-Fi.
Rooms at the Salutation are contemporary in design and decorated using light, natural colours. Each room comes with its own en suite bathroom with shower.
The bar area offers many amenities synonymous with a traditional English pub, including a jukebox, pool table and beer garden. It features leather seats and wooden fittings and offers a good selection of cask ales, wines, beers and spirits.
Manchester Piccadilly Rail Station is just a mile away and The University of Manchester is within 10-minutes by foot. The city centre and Arndale Shopping Centre can be reached within 10 minutes by car.

Staff were hospitable with allowing us to drop bags in hours before check in and go off for the day.
Pub was warm, friendly and had a fantastic range of beers.
15 minute walk in to city centre and 5-10 minutes from union and academy which to see a gig was the purpose of our to stay.
Money off price of room due to change but very generous and courteous about the change.
NCP car park only 5 mins walk away which is 9 pounds for 24 hours, a lot cheaper than other parks around. все обзоры »
We loved the friendly welcome. The convenience of being near the
University campus. Only 10 minutes walk into the centre of town. The 10%
reduction on all food and drink in the pub.Great ales served! Although
breakfast was not available, the young ladies who were working in the
pub provided us with flapjacks and apples for the morning. Great place
to stay for parents and student visiting mmu. Good value for money.
Polite and friendly staff in an individual setting, a much better experience than that provided by budget hotel chains for around the same price. And the 10% discount in the proper pub downstairs went down well, as did the nightcap following our late (and rather wobbly) return after sampling Manchester's nightlife.
Very helpful staff and the room facilities were adequate for my needs. It was a basic budget room that I paid for and that is what I got. It was EXCELLENT value for money :D close proximity to the bar was a bonus for me being a single traveller and I was made to feel very welcome.
Return visit and still the best budget option in Manchester. Small single room this time, which was compact but perfectly okay given the price. And chocolate stout in the bar downstairs ...mmmm.

Rooms were very basic but that was all we wanted but just some advice for those looking for longer stays.
Only the lack of parking facilities for over 2hours.
Due to the windows the room was a bit cold but the extra duvet made up for this. The decor took some getting used to but I paid 50% less than in the nearest hotel so neither of these issued bothered me in the slightest and I would recommend to like minded travellers :).
This traditional pub is now under threat due to take-over by MMU Students Union. Likely that it will lose it's character and friendliness.
