Could have done with a chair in the bedroom, but other than that wasa really good funtional b and b apartment right where I needed it to be,close to everything. I will be staying again. все обзоры »
The hotel was very centrally located and was ideal for shops, bars andrestaurants by foot.It is a good location, the room is very warm and a good size. It is also very clean. The pleasant staff who were helpfull with information about edinburgh. The apartment was central and very easy to use. The proximity of the town center.Very close to shops, castle, bus stops (incl. airport express) right in front of the hotel. location, close to city centre. Location close to city centre. price, friendly person at counter, use of kitchen, in centre of city, clean. Location, price, helpfulness of staff. staff very nice. It is rather clean and central. Sharing the facilities was no problem.Maximum 5 people share one bathroom. Kitchen is well equiped. Its very convenient, the staff are very nice, its very clean andwell kept.convenience to princes st. and not too far from Murrayfield stadium. Great location. ther bed was comfortable. Plenty of room. central location, large room, staff quite friendly. Nothing was interesting.the breakfast. The rooms were quite spacious.Well located, close to the city centre. This hotel is as I would imagine a homeless hostel. Bare lightbulbs (no shades), magnolia woodchip badly painted, magnolia walls every where in fact, painted over all walls including old tiles in the bathroom. Dirty bathrooms, I had to wash stains off the bath before using.Illumination of the rooms, it was somehow too dark There were no plug adapters for guests outside Great Britain. The climb to the fourth floor was a bit of a slog from some of my party.
There was no hot water on tap as the hot water tank wasn't plugged in and I didn't like to tamper.
As I'd organise this trip for 7 of us, I paid the hotel bill and was disappointed that I was charged 2.95% to pay via my credit/debit card. There was no mention of this when I booked or recieved confirmation of our booking. If I'd known in advance I'd have brought cash to pay!. We did have a little difficulty in finding the hotel as there was nosign outside of it and it was covered over by scaffolding. It was quite hard to find as there is no sign saying that it is Shandwick Apartments. there is just a door saying number 24. I was worried that I may be knocking randomly on someone's home! also, there was tea, coffee and milk packets but no sugar. and there is no bottle opener. The many steps from street to reception. Beyond that there were normalamount between floors. The shower door was hard to lock. The hotel description did not mention that the many stairs which might be hard to manage for elderly people although the very friendly staff helps with the luggage. A bit basic. Bit noisy but that's to expect in citycentre. Having to buzz into the building was a bit annoying - especially giventhe size of the place meaning that it could take the concierge a whileto get to the buzzer/hear what you were saying because of the traffic. It would be better if the hotel was able to provide guests with a key tothe main entrance.they take extra mony more than booking.com take and they said these mony since i use visa. The rooms inside the appartments were very thin. It was easy to hearyour neighbour whispering. If you are annoyed by noise, this place mightnot be the optimum place to stay.Beds are small, bathroom is shared, the kitchen has no cooker, it coststoo much for what it is. The number of stairs- no lifts, and a "rabbit warren"- easy to get lost!. No hot water (it was luke warm - not good for showering!) and the heating wasn't turned on so the rooms were a bit cold. it was expensive for having no on-suite facilities or tea/coffee making facilities. Kitchen facilities were cheap eg 2 plain mugs, cheap cutlery. No iron provided although ironing board. Furnishings very sparse eg only one mirror in the bathroom, one bedside table for a double room etc. large nuber of stairs, very basic, no heating or hot water when we first arrived.Very small room, very small bed, no TV chanels and shared bathrooms. The room was freezing cold when we got there. The heater seemed to be broken and they had to fix it while we were out for the day. The service was atrocious. The front reception desk was only open 25% of the times we walked by. When we were attempting to check out, there were about 5 couples waiting. There was a sign that read "We will be back in 5 minutes".The room was very small with a view directly to the wall of the neighbour building - 1 meter away. During our stay the room smelled of paint. The bathroom was shared and has no shower, the kitchen is shared as well, this is not what I expect from the name Shandwick Apartment. The rate is too high for the service received. Did not like to camera in the hall way, felt like we were being watched. The WORST hotel I have ever stayed in.It is billed as a hotel however this appears to be a false representation as it resembles a cheap student room or a homeless hostel.A very cold, dirty, bare, cheap, and very , very unpleasant experience.I have taken photos which would back up what I have written.
