My partner and I really enjoyed our time here. It was clean, friendly and great value for money. The staff always had time for any questions. It felt like a hotel with a great plus of a kitchen. I would stay again and I would also recommend it to friends and family.
Provided very good value for money compared to other accommodation in
the area ....... staff were very happy to help (Our kettle was missing
on arrival but they soon found us one). все обзоры »
Close to city centre and free shuttle bus
Clean and well organised
Good value for money.
Comfortable modern room, not far from the city centre. For the price it is amazing.
The staff were very friendly and the location was superb.
Free shuttle bus
Luggage store option
Free parking.
Clean, economical.
The room we had was clean and comfortable. Even though we were located
on the ground floor we were able to sleep well because the street is
quiet. The staff were also helpful and the driver of the shuttle was so
lovely. The hotel is located an easy 15min walk from town and there are
many bus stops located close to the accommodation (I've placed that
in bold beause it appears that people who have reviewed on this page are
under the impression that the shuttle is the only option!). I think the
ho.
We weren't in the room much, so it was all we needed. The bed was comfortable.
The kitchen area was quite good with a fridge/freezer, and stove, but there was nothing to use to dry dishes.
First time Staying in a Hostel. Liked that you had your own room and
very small bathroom, Within walking distance to neighborhood bars,
restaurants, Grocery store and Bus stops.
The staff in the hostel performed their role and were good. The
shuttle staff were very friendly and accommodating helping out as much
as possible.
Value for money.
Free shuttle bus to town, which was too far to walk.
Close to good restaurants and to arboretum.
Good offstreet parking (which you have to pay for).
Staff on reception Car parking Closeness to town centre Facilities were
good but bed not double.
It was an economic short break very close to our venue. The staff were helpful and pleasant.
Bathroom fittings were quit ok, which means something in the UK.
Location and price were good. Parking cheap.
Friendly staff
Good price
Clean rooms.
Cleanliness and location.
Location.
Friendly reception from the staff. Secure undercover parking. Free
shuttle bus to the city. Within reasonable walking distance of the city.
The free bus into the city is by far the best thing to say about Beaverbank.
Cheap parking.
Free transport to center by friendly driver.
Close to city centre
Excellent free shuttle bus service.
free transport to city center or 20 30 min walking.
1. the shower
2. The friendly shuttle bus driver.
It was clean.
Staff was helpful but they were all students with no experience in
hospitality.
Nothing.
The only slight minus was the walking distance from the town , A.
Décor comfortable but basic - however, it was what we were expecting
based on the description and price.
Mattress VERY uncomfortable.
Could be a bit cleaner.
Someone yelled in the middle of the night.
No kettle in kitchen, would be worth putting mini kettles in room.
Just two small points - The exhaust fan in the bathroom was quite loud
and as it is operated by a sensor it does not turn off for 30 mins.
Although annoying, this is understandable as there is no ventilation in
the bathroom otherwise. Also, I was a bit surprised how dirty the
carpets in the hallway and kitchen floor were - a simple vacuum of the
flooring would of made appearances to much better!.
No small garbage can in the room - had to go to the kitchen. There was no toaster and ironically that was the only thing I wanted to use for 'cooking' since I just have a bagel for breakfast.
False advertising. When we booked Hostel they provided a picture on
website of the nicer building across street with all the information.
Which, was actually the billing office only. A basic Dorm room very
tight quarters. The bathroom had a fan and stayed on for a while all
hours of day/night Windows don't open very wide very stuffy and
hard to sleep at night when we went it was very warm not the typical
Scotland weather.
Dirty, stained bed sheets with nice curly hairs on.
When booking over 4 months ago we requested a room in a flat with our fiends this was not accommodated for.
'Shuttle bus' was great however limited on numbers more a people carrier gives better definition.
Pictures of the rooms can be slightly misleading with the colourful bed lining and kitchen appliances.
Lounge and wifi in different building from bedrooms.
Rooms are cramped and VERY stuffy; neighborhood is trashy.
Shower only, no bathtub.
Reception is just a desk in a hallway.
Room description of a double room, bed was only 3/4 if description
at booking had made that clear we would have booked two rooms. It spoilt
it for us being squashed in bed and we didn't sleep well. It was
good value and we wanted the choice of having more room.
We didn't have a kettle in the kitchen, the quilt for the bed was a bit small.
The size of the rooms and mainly the size of the beds.
Not enough plates, glasses etc.
A flat for 5 students is rented for ten people...
Very disorganised staff who did not quite know what they were doing.
The beds were not really double and were cramped for 2 people.
Nearly poor fascilities.
Far too basic for the price .having to pay £5per towel hire.very noisy
guests.having to make my own bed.
I don't give my recept.
they needed to move us to another room and collected our things when we were out and left them in the corridor but appologised for that,check-in was too slow!!!!.
Poor administration - missmatch between information on the booking
confirmation and the hostel's computer system:- Earliest check-in
was 15.00 not 13.00 as shown. There were no towels available despite
being booked. The prices differed between the booking and the
hostel's computer (in our favour!).
The room cleaning was merely superficial.
The rooms lacked basic facilities - there was no waste bin or toilet brush.
Was very budget style accommodation. If you dont careabout space and comfort it is fine.
Rooms where not clean. Is it that hard to vacuum and flush the toilets? I don't like to see what previous guests leeft behind...
Staff is friendly but unprofessional which shows if not everything goes 100% like planned. Beds are too small for 2.
To expensive for the offered quality.
Room too small
Bed too small for 2 people and very uncomfortable
Staff unhelpful and not very knowledgeable about anything we asked.
No WiFi
No kettle
Bed si not double but smaller
we paid a lot bit it was the cheapest and the only place available for that crazy weekend in edinburgh.
1. Unfriendly staff
2. Our room + communal kitchen was not cleaned/inspected during our 5 night stay.
3. In the description 'Beaverbank is a 10 minute walk from the center'. This is a lie. the shuttle bus takes about 10 minutes. Walking takes 30-40 minutes.
4. You cannot turn off the fan in the bathroom which is very loud and lasts for ~15mins.
5. you have to pay extra for towels.
The size of the beds expected to accommodate 2 adults.
The noise.
The Location.
Having to Step over the cable in situ constantly across the corridor to lift on ground floor.
Not the booking I was led to believe I made with no compensation.
Having to sleep on the floor
Having to make another appropriate booking elsewhere for 4 people at 3.30am.
They clearly have no one cleaning the rooms between visitors. We booked 10 rooms they were all filthy and one stunk of smoke. When we asked we were told they did not have enough staff to clean the rooms.
You have to make your own bed. The room was dirty. We had a flood in the bathroom, ask twice for help at the front desk and never got help. Not even a mop.
Far from the center, no shuttle service. Dirty room, ventilator in
bathroom extremely loud - cannot turn off. Bed way to small for 2 people
and sheets were scratchy. Towels need to be bought - weren't new!
Campus area so pretty loud at night. Not recommended.
Terrible bed. Hot unable to open windows fully. Noise from people outside. Room was only suitable for one person under 18 years. Had to pay for towels.
tiny dirty noisy rooms way below expectations. Forget to have your money back if windows do not close as they should.
