All I can say is that if you want to be treated like the only one at the hotel, The Grand is the place to go. The staff are excellent in all respects. Beds/pillows wonderful. Lots of towels in the bathroom. Spa - fab. Breakfast, lunch and dinner - a must. What more could you ask for - nothing.

Good space in the room and bathroom. Good bed, with blanket rather than duvet. Good selection of furniture. Good dining room and good breakfast. Everything about this hostel was really nice. Very cheap, simple, clean, easy to get to and had breath-taking views of Eastbourne. Unlike when this hotel was owned by Travelodge:-
The room was clean and well presented. The shower worked well with plenty of hot water.
Everything worked and was excellent value for money.
I only negative comment is the restaurant didn't have everything on the menu on 2 consecutive evenings and because its a limited menu it made a bigger impact.

Being in Eastbourne you are normally surrounded by alot of senior citizens. In this hotel it was modern and nice to see people like ourselves in our 40s and younger staying there.
