The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring Chester. The room was modern and clean and the staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was lovely too with an excellent choice of menu, all cooked to order. If I venture back to Chester then I would definitely book this hotel again. - The hotel was nice and our room was clean and comfortable

the staff were exceptional, as one of our party of eight has coeliac disease, but not a problem to them, even down to breakfast on sun morning, she was well catered for, thoughtful and freindly personel - Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and we were given an unexpected upgrade to an executive room overlooking the gardens. This was very comfortable, clean and quiet. We ate in the bar the first day which was good (but some vegetables would have been an added bonus!) When we were departing from the car park we couldn't get out due to an illegally parked car and the hotel staff went out of their way to successfully rectify the problem. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Very central location. We had such a pleasant time and will definately be returning in the near future.

On check in I thought it was a nice gesture to be upgraded free of charge into the new room which was really spacious and modern. The service from arrival to departure was outstanding, staff were very friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble - we were made to feel really special. The room was spotless, the super king size bed was blissfully comfortable. The hotel is in a very convenient location and easy to find. This was 5-star luxury at a very reasonable rate. -

The staff were the most friendly and helpful staff in any hotel we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in hotels all over the world. The rooms were very comfortable, clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The food in the restaurant was good, reasonable and the staff went out of their way to provide customers with whatever they wanted if possible.

The pub itself is lovely, nice and traditional with big log fires. The room we stayed in was located upstairs above the pub, it was big, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, informative and very accommodating. It was a really pleasant atmosphere and a lovely location. Also we had dinner on Saturday which started a little late as we were a large group and the restaurant was quite full - we got to dessert and the waiter made it for us as the chef had finished for the day - superb service and more than could be expected.

The young male receptionist was the best receptionist I have ever met.
