A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

We had a lovely stay at the Hyatt. The hotel itself was beautiful and the service impeccable. The rooms were very nice with everything you would need in a room. The staff is extraordinary , very warm and welcoming and very efficient the breakfast is very rich and the view from the room is wonderful. You are in an area where you can hop on a taxi or Dolmus( collective taxi)immediately , you are just 5 minutes away from the boats that take you to the other side of the Bosphorus.
