It's a very nice refuge in the heart of a huge city as you don't even suspect that you are in the midst of all that noise and traffic as soon as you get into your room.

The safety-deposit box was out of reach in my room as it was blocked by the night-stand which was strongly fastened and couldn't be moved.

The location, a modern bathroom with great shower, free sauna, a safe in the room, the breakfast and the view from the breakfastroom over Taksim Square.

The location; It is very close to Istaghlal street just one minutes (Taksim Squre).it is good for shopping and eating.and also near the metro( Taksim underground).

It was too much noise at nights because there are too many night clubs and Bars very close to the hotel so we could not sleep until the morning. and also the suna and Hammam was not in use at all.

I had read both good and bad comments and was concerned about the bad ones, but I booked it anyway. Now I can say I agree with the good ones. Though small, the room was clean and classy. Staff were really helpful and friendly, especially the reception guy with the glasses. Note that Economy room is for a single use only since it is small, not good for a couple.

The room was clean and new. Bathroom shower was great! They had everything you would need up to toothbrush and paste.

The only thing negative was that the room was small. It was hard to open a suitcase (thank god we had only one)

Money worth, good location n easy access to every way through metro, teksi etc. Free Wifi in room.

Breakfast good but everyday same. Noisy at night as Teksim is a place for frequent peaceful assembly. People don't sleep here and you could hear people's voices throughout the night.

The service as usual was very good and friendly it is why I come often to this place. Now with a magnificent 6th floor terrasse restaurant beautiful vue over Taksim square and Gezi park as well as Tarlabasi avenue.

Very good value hotel. Superb breakfast spread. Good location for Taksim area. No complaints

Finding the hotel was difficult because no-one (even Police) knew the address or Hotel name. The address on the confirmation email was wrong, so I spent a long time in the heat with a case walking up and down the wrong road! This problem was made worse by the construction work in Taksim Square. The hotel should provide a better map and instructions.

The hotel was excellent, we really enjoyed our stay there. Ir was 3 minutes a way from Istiqlal street & 5 minutes away from metro station. So it was away from the noise. The breakfast is really nice.

They charges us try 25 for making 2 short domistic calls.

The hotel is located like 50 metres from theyr famous shopping Istiklal Street , unbelievable close. It is a small hotel , with small rooms but i need to say they are gorgeous rooms , the glass window between bathroom and room is a great idea ... bed is great as all the furniture , a great 4 star hotel. Great breakfast btw ....

air conditioning sistem was too noisy and couldnt fix the right temperature...either too hot either too cold ...

Istanbul Life Hotel is newly renovated, and it shows: everything is clean and functional, and the rooms are great for what you pay for. There's no better location in the city. It's situated behind the French Consulate at the top of istiklal street, in close proximity to everything.

My friend from Istanbul wanted to drop off her shopping bags in my room before we went out for dinner, and they wouldn't let her come up unless she was a guest of the hotel. Seriously?? At the moment that area of Taksim is a construction zone, but it's not a significant factor. It's just a little muddy when it's raining.

The central location related to the city active and shopping centre. Also very close to public transport. Nice room with all facilities.

Room service was a little careless but was resolved by the reception counter employee.

the warm welcome and friendly attitude

The breakfast was the same during the whole stay. It would be better if you can make little, regular changes in the breakfast menu, so that the guest feels that he/she has a new breakfast everyday.

The location of the hotel is very good and one minute walk to Taksim square. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine.

The room is very small and was not enough for us. The bed is small and not comfortable. The cupboard was broken in our room.

Not gay friendly - I was not allowed to have a friend visit my room - this is 2013 and this is a silly rule. I will not use Takism Life in my next trip

Lots of, huge noise all night until the morning 6:00 A.M. The hotel is very close to a night club or a few night clubs.

The location was just perfect, though the renovation of road and bridge in the centre. We could reach to a Metro station for about 5 minutes. All shops were around. For just chosing centre place the hotel was perfect, also the staff were very friendly.

The rooms vere tiny small, I imagined it bigger rather than saw it in reality. The road near to the hotel were under consruction. The breakfast was not so reach and every day was given the same food.

the room is too small as well as the bed..it cant be considered as "double bed" ....not advisable for family. the room rate has to be reduced considering its size and the facilities of the hotel.

Staff, location

Room are more like closet, very small rooms, not comfortable, the bath room door open about two feet to the side of the bed. Internet disconnect often, breakfast menu is not good, I booked it through letsbookhotel.com, the pictures there done not reflect what the rooms and the hotel look like. Zi booked five days but checked out after the first night. I don't recommend this to anyone.

the location

The room was very small and our "window" was actually the fire escape exit (is this safe?). Staff didn't speak english. Breakfast was poor.

Very, very bad service. The boys from receptions have asked us all the time to pay cash for the parking-even at the day of arriving. We complained from the Brocken WAC seat but nothing. Very small rooms, dirty, and the worst service at the world.
