  Hostal Edreira was very clean. Our room was spacious but set up awkwardly. the bed was in front of the closet so you couldn't open the door easily. The staff was very friendly and nice although they weren't always easily available. It was a great location in easy walking distance of all the major sights in Madrid. The bathroom and toilet facilities were clean and tidy. The hostel was just next to the metro and was very convenient. Staff very friendly and helpful. Yes they do speak english.   The flat is just perfect. Clean, elegant, perfectly well equipped, everything in order, all imaginable comfort is there (a working wifi included). The area is central, just beside the British Council, and a few steps from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with many restaurants, shops, supermarkets.
