Staff eager to help us as we arrived early were leaving late and had to leave luggage at hotel. We were upgraded to double rooms with views of Table Top. A cheap taxi ride or walk from all the major city sites. Excellent breakfast included. Rooms spacious with all facilities. Compared with our hotel in Rio on the same trip and for the same price Townhouse was streets ahead. Can't wait to go back to Cape Town and when I do there's only one place I'll be staying - The Townhouse.

This apartment was perfect. Not too big, and not small, the loft above was wonderful and the view from the window was brilliant - both the city as well as table mountain. The Underberg guesthouse is situated very centrally so it was very convenient and close to some top restaurants. This enabled us to save on our hire car expenses. It truly is a beautiful place and I would definitely stay there again. Also, the actual place is true to the picture on the internet if not even more beautiful in life.

I spent 10 days here as a solo female traveler and what a wonderful place! I really enjoyed my stay here. James really goes out of his way to make sure you have the best trip possible. He arranged a tour of Robben Island for me and a really cool cooking class in Bo Kaap. But what I was most impressed by was that the place was absolutely spotless.

Very nice room and a comfortable bed and shower. James, the owner, is friendly and helpful (he checked if the cable way to table mountain was open (because of heavy winds) and if a certain museum was open (because of public holiday), dropped me off at the Waterfront, as he had to go there as well, and arranged a taxi/shuttle service.
