Had a great trip made even better by the House on the Hill staff Situated in a great location at a very reasonable price. Would stay there again for sure.

I liked the friendly help Deon and Staff gave me about locations and prices in Capetown.I also enjoyed cooking my own meal in the Kitchen.Breakfast was also excellent.

Clean, comfortable, well kitted out rooms in a great area of Cape Town. Easy walk to the waterfront. Very accommodating given I was unwell during my stay. Free parking right outside. Excellent value for money.

Great value, central and just perfect for basic accomadation. Found the staff friendly and helpful. It was clean and parking was safe. Will definately be back!

The location was great, close enough to all the activity but not so close that you are woken up or disturbed. The room was clean and the majority of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostel is very close to the V&A, Long Street (bars), easy to get to the vast array of beautiful beaches, close to Table Mountain, there are lots of lovely little restaurants and shops. Cape Town itself was incredible! If you like live music, go to the Dubliner on Long Street, Mama Africa has amazing food (also Long Street), there are some lovely restaurants on the water front too. If you get the chance, climb Table Mountain rather than take the cable car, we did Skeleton Gorge and the views were breathtaking. You need a degree of fitness but don't have to be a fitness freak! Hiring a car is definately worth it, giving you the opportunity to go out of the city - Simons Town is worth a visit, Boulders Beach with the Penguins is great! Stellenbosch is a lovely little town. If you want to go for Safari but can't afford Kruger, Aquila Safari Park is economical and we saw the big five whilst there, so it is worth checking them out as an alternative! If your holiday is anything like our time there, you'll definately want to go back!

There was one member of staff who let his team down, he was not all that helpful and always seemed to feel like it was a chore for him to help us. It was a shame because the rest of the staff were great! But ... that is our only grumble and is a small one at that!

Nice room with patio, good location - close to V&A Waterfront

The self catering house is very cold (visited in September)

Very well located, near the center of the City. Very nice people at the reception desk, giving useful information and advices on how to do in and around Cape Town

The bathroom is too small, and the room for the children, too.

Friendly Staff, nice rooms, good prices and great location close to Waterfront (20 min walking) and Bus Station.
