Although there was only one staff member who spoke (rudimentary) English, I found the staff friendly and as helpful as limited communication would permit. The room was quiet, and the view from the balcony was excellent. I liked the small refrigerator in the room, as well as the real dishes, flatware, and glassware available provided. The free breakfasts were filling. The price for washing and folding a load of laundry was 250 roubles (about $7.50) - quite reasonable. All in all a good value.
They didn't take Visa (only cash). There was a small store within walking distance, but you'd have to take a bus or cab to get downtown or to the beach.
