My room on 1st floor (6) was airy, clean, bright and nicely-decorated. Good air conditioning, pleasant (if slightly cramped) bathroom and shower.

The staff were always extremely helpful with any questions I had. Most spoke French, Arabic, Spanish and English which makes it easy for international travelers.
The breakfast in the morning is a bit pricey but it's a great way to start your day if you're not in a rush. The patio where you eat is really nice in the mornings if the weather is good.
There's a rooftop terrace with seats where you can read or relax in the sun.

The hotel is in a quiet but I believe basically safe though somewhat dilapidated neighborhood.
That said, the hotel itself is as charming a place as you can imagine. Our room had a large terrace overlooking a small but lovely garden with a tile inlay pool.

We loved our stay here. Upon our arrival we were pleasantly surprised by the host with the present of a free upgrade to the best room in the house. The ambiance is relaxed and sophisticated, and the house is absolutely beautiful and perhaps in the best location of Tangier. We love it.

Mustafa at front desk was incredibly helpful overall, especially re: my
luggage which didn't arrive on my flight into Casblanca before we
took train to Tangier. He helped suggest where to buy some clothes,
helped with phone calls to the airlines and shared other tips to help.
The location made our daily walks to the Medina and other highlights
easy, and the room was very comfortable at a great price.

The rooms were uniquely furnished with colorful textiles, rugs and antiques. Treats were left for guests each day and rose petals scattered about on the bedclothes. If you want to immerse yourself in the local culture and people then this is for you. Right in the middle of the Medina, fabulous for shopping for ornaments, throws/blankets, cooking tagines, etc. People very friendly, but you have to barter and be prepared to say "no". If you are looking to buy something in particular, ask Rachid at the hotel; he was very helpful and actually took us shopping. Gilles, the owner very welcoming too. Would definitely go back.

tell that previously the hotel was much grander, but it is still a
great place. The rooms were clean, the staff was very helpful and
could speak many languages, and the breakfast was in a beautiful room
with an outstanding view overlooking the sea! I would definitely stay
here again.
