Note: The hotel is not in Cuasso al Monte, it is a village part of the town Cuasso al Monte. Il ristorante è molto buono, s - We arrived on a Sunday with the local equivalent of Mothers' Day in full swing plus about three first communion family parties. In spite of the pressure on the family run team, our early arrival was treated very efficiently and helpfully. Our meal later was just what we needed to set us up for the evening, and the super breakfast next day on the terrace with its spectacular view over Lake Lugano was a real bonus. WiFi worked a treat as well. - Hotel is the highest point on the mountain, so views of the lake and mountains below are breathtaking! Accordingly the road driving up to the hotel, was steep and winding - not for the faint-hearted driver. Owners are friendly and breakfast was very nice. Surrounding town of Viconago is well-worth a visit

The restaurant downstairs was packed with locals - a great sign (but we do recommend reserving a table when you make your hotel reservation!)   The ambience of the hotel, set at the side of Lake Lugano. Our room on the first floor had a large terrace overlooking the lake. The female Romanian receptionist was brilliant and efficient. All the staff were friendly without familiarity and most helpful. Food excellent as were the wines. - The lakevie room was very large and led out to the balcony. The balcony is shared, but I felt secure and comfortable. The view was great. It is driving distance to a couple of small towns. There was a flea market in a nearby town. The staff very accommodating. I have severe allergies and they paid careful attention to cleaning the room prior to my arrival. Excellent place, I will stay again!

  Very friendly staff.Room with a balcony.Seaview. - The friendliness and welcoming nature of the staff. Also, their excellent cooking. The dinning area is their strong point....lovely atmosphere and obviously a favor with the locals. Also, the situation of the hotel on the Lake is fantastic.
