  Even if this hotel was about 5 KM from downtown Fussen it was really easy to get there and certainly worthed. Great location and very quiet. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly.   A pleasant enough hotel, further from Fussen than we had realised (about 8km) but in a pleasant rural setting on the main (but not busy) road. There is a reasonable restaurant attached - when we arrived an had to go into the restaurant to check in everyone was staring at us! We had an excellent 4 night stop here with large, well appointed bedroom with en suite. Balcony at the front overlooking the Weissensee Lake. Excellent waitress cover in the very busy restaurant below. Ideal for visiting Fussen for shopping etc and for sightseeing at nearby Neushwanstein Castle

  It's a very good hotel for thoose who looking for active leisure. Located in 5 km from Fussen on a very beautifull lake Alatsee. There is nice bike track to Fussen, so it's better to rent a bike to get to local sight-seeings: castles, falls, peaks and lakes. Hidy cooked fried eggs for us for the breakfast which satisfied us very much. Our room which is facing to the lake is big and clean with comfortable beds and quilts. The shower is very good.

The best was the recommendation of a restaurant at the nearby Alatsee, fantastic food in an exciting environment, that invites for a walk after the meal. The staff was nice and really! helpful. We received many information about the region and also a card, which offers discounts. You can buy breakfast. In case, if you have kitchen you can order fresh rolls, which are waiting for you every morning. I thoroughly recommend this place

It's far enough away from Neuschwanstien Castle to get away from the tourist hordes, but close enough to be no hassle.
